Where There’s a Will, There’s a Family Fighting Over It

If you’ve waited long enough into the inevitable awkward silence of our first conversation, you’ll find that I will probably divert to a go-to topic of mine; music.

I’ll tell you about my collection, and you’ll get bored and then we’ll move on with life. It’s my pride and joy; and the only asset behind my 18 year old name.

You see, I’m 18. This means that I am selfish and only think about myself. However, in this perpetuity of selfishness, I seem to have forgotten about the fact that one day, I will die. I suppose that’s also apart of being 18; wild, free and invincible. However, after an aggressive conversation with my brother on the subject of my beloved record player, it occurred to me that I can’t pack a 100kg sound system in my move to Brisbane this year. My brother arrogantly expects that my honey will be passed down to him in my absence.

And that’s when it struck me. I need to sort out a will. There’s no way I can leave this unclear, and pass on my beloved to a boy who forgets to wash his hands more often than he forgets to flush. I urge you to join me. Look, at 18 with only an iphone and record player to my name, I am perhaps dramatizing my concern a tad. But nevertheless, if the unlikely event of death were to dawn, you would surely feel the need to provide clarity and certainty for a grieving family. So come and see your local Townsville lawyers at O’Shea and Dyer to rid yourself of the burden and continue living. We do Wills, Enduring Power of Attorneys, administration of Estates and TFM Claims.
