Karina Andrew is an experienced family lawyer who has been practicing as a solicitor since 2013. Karina has worked in the Burdekin, Mackay and Brisbane. Since she moved back to Townsville in 2017, she has been with community organisations. She has worked for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women’s Legal Service NQ, the Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Service and Townsville Community Law Inc. She has vast experience in family law and has also assisted people with migration law, human rights, coronial and civil disputes and many other matters.
Karina's extensive experience in family law and domestic violence matters has seen her attend many mediations, arbitrations and conciliation conferences. She has prepared court documents and briefs and appeared in court on behalf of clients many times with and without a barrister. She appears in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court on a regular basis.
Karina now works exclusively in family law and can advise and represent people in all types of family law matters including property law, parenting matters, spouse maintenance, child support, child safety and domestic violence.
Karina is an Associate and a senior member of the family lawyer team at OSheaDyer. She is highly regarded by her team and clients for her experience, extensive knowledge of family law, calm demeanor and ability to obtain excellent outcomes.
Karina has worked in senior and supervisory roles at community legal centers for many years.
