Frosty On Top, But Warm Inside

Meet Samuel Stewart.

Bona fide example of a fella who’s smashed school, is in the process of smashing his law/business degree at JCU and is just generally smashing life altogether.

Despite our part-time legal assistant sounding like an absolute dream, it’s not uncommon nowadays to have a dark history.

And whilst I wish I could tell you this happened in grade 9 when he was young, naïve and far too impressionable – this dark past occurred quite recently.

Stewart had frosted tips last year. Not a fashion trend I intended on seeing repeated in my lifetime, let me tell you.

But that’s it. That’s the only questionable thing about Sam Stewart.

Other than that, he’s a model student; runs track for Queensland, dances like Fred Astaire, plays piano like Elton, sings like a bird but a few octaves lower, smarter than your average bear, absolute lady killer, and is literally in everything but a bathtub. He has to baby wipe bathe, so he can keep up with his schedule; three respective wipes for each of the three imperative areas.

You wouldn’t be surprised to hear that he was the Ignatius Park All Round Boy (probably didn’t need to specify gender there) for 2016. And yep, he’s an Iggy Park old boy – another reason to love the guy.

So, I guess O’Shea and Dyer Townsville law firm should count themselves lucky to maintain a slot in the wildly successful life of Samuel Stewart.

I must admit, my reasons for writing this feature are completely selfish. I really just want to put in place some evidence to prove that I worked beside the local Townsville boy who made Broadway.

‘Samuel Stewart, local Townsville lawyer, rejects offer to compete in the 2020 Olympics so he can accept offer to perform on Broadway, Midtown Manhattan, New York City.’

It’s a prophecy - but come and see me and my crystal ball when it’s fulfilled and sprawled across the front page of the Townsville Bulletin in a couple of years’ time.

And for this reason, you must be at Strictly Ballroom presented by NQOMT, at Townsville Civic Theatre from the 11th to the 20th of October 2018. Because this is where our Samuel Stewart makes his debut. Not to the stage, but as the leading man and better-looking version of Scott Hastings, Australian Ballroom dancer and all-round spunk rat.

Here’s to our Sam, a vividly brilliant addition to the team at O’Shea and Dyer Townsville Lawyers, and Broadway Baby in the making. You keep us young, Stewart.
